ConGlobal Industries, Inc. Acquires Specialized Industrial Finishes Company, Diversified Container Services, Inc.
(San Ramon, California, June 10, 2010) – ConGlobal Industries, Inc. (CGI) announced that it has acquired the business and assets of Diversified Container Services, Inc. (DivCon), a Jacksonville, Florida company specializing in industrial finishes.
DivCon has a complete line of products and services to help protect industrial equipment to extend their useful life. Their product offerings include Welding and Fabrication; ISO Container Repair; Blast and Preservation; Descaling of Mill Steel; Coatings and Finishes; and Enclosed Paint Booth. DivCon has invested in some of the industry’s most technologically advanced machinery, such as a state-of-the-art enclosed blast booth, to provide customers with the best possible end product.
DivCon is certified by many industry groups for having highly trained personnel. DivCon ascribes to ISO, IICL, IMDG, ANSI, SSPC, and NACE professional guidelines and standards. Additionally, the company is the only certified company in the southeast to be designated as a “Preferred Vendor” by Polyurea. DivCon’s customers consist of both government/military and corporations, including the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, NASA, Honeywell, and AlliedSignal.
“The acquisition of DivCon will allow CGI to enter into new product offerings that complement CGI’s own products and services,” said Mike Baldwin, president of CGI. “Also, it will allow CGI to better serve our customers and secure our footprint by moving into a state-of-the-art facility.” As part of the acquisition, CGI will be relocating all its current operations to the DivCon site, a 28-acre industrial complex in Jacksonville, Florida.
